  3.  The following sound hardware is supported:

  5.     *  MPU-401 compatible MIDI cards
  6.     *  Any ADLIB compatible sound card
  7.     *  Creative Lab's Sound Blaster card
  8.     *  Covox Soundmaster II card
  9.     *  Key Electronics MIDIATOR series
  10.     *  Optronics Basic MIDI Card

  13.  Use the HSETUP utility provided with the program
  14.  to specify your hardware configuration.

  16.  Some MIDI keyboards send abbreviated note
  17.  commands immediately after power up or after
  18.  a program change is issued. If Play It By Ear
  19.  is failing to recognize your instrument then
  20.  start an exercise and cycle power on your
  21.  instrument or issue a program change while the
  22.  program is waiting for your response.

  28.  Due to the low resolution of CGA display
  29.  adapters, the current exercise window and the
  30.  current options window do not appear on the
  31.  screen. To open the current exercise window,
  32.  click the exercise name at the top of the
  33.  screen. For more information, see Appendix B
  34.  in the manual.
